Position Overview As a Lawn Care and Fertilization Supervisor, you will apply fertilizer and pesticide treatments to lawns, trees, and shrubs while ensuring compliance with all Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) regulations. This field-based role combines technical expertise with customer service to help clients maintain healthy, attractive landscapes throughout the growing season. To provide year-round employment, you'll also assist with snow removal operations during the winter months. Key Responsibilities Apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns, trees, and shrubs according to scheduled treatment programs. Perform weed control, shrub care, aeration, and related lawn care services. Follow proper application methods and maintain compliance with all ODA regulations. Inspect properties and perform follow-up service visits as needed. Assist Client Care Specialists and Account Managers with lawn evaluations and estimates. Educate customers on proper lawn and landscape care. Provide professional, responsive customer service during each visit. Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Assist with snow removal operations during the winter season. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications At least 1 year of experience as a lawn application or fertilization technician. Valid Ohio Applicator's License. Valid Ohio driver's license with an insurable driving record. Ability to safely operate lawn care equipment. Ability to drive and back up a truck and trailer. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices. Professional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Preferred Qualifications Experience performing lawn evaluations or assisting with customer estimates. Snow removal experience. Knowledge of lawn disease, insect, and weed identification.
