In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and effective application of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other turf care products to residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lawn care, chemical handling, and the ability to work independently to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other treatments to lawns, trees, flowerbeds and shrubs according to company standards and state regulations. Inspect properties to assess turf and plant health, diagnose problems, and recommend appropriate treatments. Operate and maintain application equipment, including sprayers, spreaders, and hand tools, ensuring they are in proper working condition. Accurately measure and mix chemicals following label instructions and safety guidelines. Keep detailed records of treatments applied, including dates, quantities, and products used. Maintain knowledge of state and local laws and regulations regarding chemical applications and adhere to all safety protocols. Communicate effectively with customers to explain services provided and address any questions or concerns. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and vehicles. Assist with other lawn care tasks as needed, including aeration, seeding, and general landscaping duties. Upsell to existing clients and to new clients
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in lawn care, turf management, or chemical application preferred. Strong understanding of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides, including proper handling and application techniques. Ability to operate and maintain application equipment safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Strong communication and customer service skills. Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs., and walk or stand for extended periods. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must also have a C3 certification in Horticulture Lawn and Turf or obtain the C3 certification within two weeks of employment. Employer will assist all necessary items in order to obtain certification.
