As a Landscaping Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating, maintaining, and enhancing beautiful, functional outdoor environments. Your expertise will contribute to transforming yards, parks, commercial properties, and community spaces into vibrant, welcoming landscapes that inspire and delight. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming trees and shrubs to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools like trimmers and blowers to carry out landscaping projects efficiently. Use construction equipment such as excavators for larger landscape installations or modifications. Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and water conservation. Design and implement hardscape features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Conduct lawn care activities like fertilizing, aerating, aeration, and snow plowing during seasonal changes. Assist with tree care activities including planting, trimming, pruning, and health assessments to promote safety and growth. Support garden development by planting flowers, shrubs, and other greenery while adhering to horticultural best practices. Maintain equipment through regular cleaning and inspections to ensure safety and efficiency during all landscaping operations. Experience Proven experience in landscaping or related construction fields with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance techniques. Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and landscaping machinery such as excavators is highly desirable. Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and snow plowing. Knowledge of horticulture principles related to plant health, tree care (including trimming), and garden design. Experience working with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is a plus. Ability to operate heavy machinery like excavators safely while adhering to all safety regulations. Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions along with excellent attention to detail in landscape upkeep.
