Lawn Spray Technician Pay:

$18 - $22

Per Hour Hours:

Full-Time, 35-50 hours per week

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Lawn Spray Technician to provide top-quality lawn care services. This position requires technical knowledge, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining healthy, vibrant lawns for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform lawn fertilization, weed control, and other treatments using 4-gallon backpack sprayers, ride-on sprayers/spreaders, chest spreaders, and other equipment. Identify and diagnose field issues such as weeds, pests, disease, or nutrient deficiencies, and report symptoms to the Lawn Fertilizing Manager promptly. Apply products accurately, ensuring proper application rates through precise calculations. Monitor and report on the health and condition of lawns and plants. Follow safety protocols and wear required long-sleeve shirts, pants, and closed-toe shoes daily, regardless of weather conditions. Maintain a basic understanding of grass types, growth cycles, and proper care techniques. Handle and store fertilizers, herbicides, and other products responsibly and in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:

Registered Technician License through VDACS (preferred - willing to train). Strong mathematical skills for calculating application rates. Ability to identify lawn issues and research solutions. Basic knowledge of grass biology and lawn care practices. Good physical fitness to remain on feet all day and perform physically demanding tasks. Reliable and punctual with strong communication skills. Experience with backpack sprayers and other application equipment is preferred but not required.
