Job Description
Overview:
Join our Fertilizer Segment team as a Fertilizer Technician, where you'll play a key role in the production and packaging of high-quality fertilizer products. This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and performing a variety of production, equipment, and material-handling tasks.Duties/Responsibilities:
- General production duties: Grinding Offal Screening Fertilizer Blending Fertilizer Offal Collection
- Keep assigned work processes running.
- General housekeeping of the plant.
- Loading/Unloading trucks.
- Package final product.
- Bottling of fertilizer.
- Document production records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other software programs.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Drivers' License.
- Ability to drive a large truck (non CDL) preferred, not required.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Previous forklift experience preferred, not required.
- Willingness to work with inherent fish odor/handle fish scraps as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs for 8-10 hours per day.
