ASAP Are you an experienced Level 3 Early Years professional looking to take the next step in your career? Simply Education is working with an established nursery in Central Lincoln (LN1) who are looking for a passionate and motivated Deputy Nursery Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Room Leader, Room Lead or Senior Early Years Practitioner who is ready to progress into a management position. Previous Deputy Manager experience is not essential - we are particularly interested in candidates who have demonstrated strong leadership within a nursery setting and are ready for their next career step. The Role As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the effective day-to-day running of the nursery and help ensure children receive consistently high-quality care, learning and development.
You will:
Support the Nursery Manager with the daily operation of the nursery. Help lead, motivate and support the nursery team. Act as a positive role model and promote high standards of practice. Support the delivery of high-quality care and learning in line with the EYFS. Help maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children. Support staff with their development, practice and day-to-day responsibilities. Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues. Promote strong safeguarding, health and safety and child protection practices. Support observations, assessments, planning and children's learning journeys. Assist with nursery policies, procedures and compliance. Take responsibility for the nursery when required in the Manager's absence. About You We would love to hear from you if you: Hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification . Have solid experience working within a nursery or early years setting. Ideally have previous experience as a Room Leader, Room Lead or Senior Practitioner . Are looking to progress into a Deputy Manager position - previous Deputy Manager experience is not required . Have a strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding . Are confident supporting and leading other practitioners. Have excellent communication and organisational skills. Are reliable, professional and passionate about early years. Put children's safety, wellbeing, learning and development at the heart of your practice.
