Job description: Nursery Manager Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Fulltime, year-round position We believe great landscapes start with great people. We are looking for a hardworking, positive, and motivated individual who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and joining a team that takes pride in creating beautiful spaces for our community. This position is more than just seasonal work — it's an opportunity to grow your knowledge in horticulture, nursery operations, landscape products, inventory systems, and professional teamwork while working in a fast-paced, plant-filled environment. Position Purpose The Nursery Manager serves as a professional representative of Nebraska Nursery & Color Gardens by maintaining a beautiful, organized, safe, and efficient nursery environment while promoting horticulture and landscape products in a safe, ethical, and professional manner. This role plays a vital part in maintaining exceptional product quality, supporting daily nursery operations, assisting customers and crews, and contributing to the overall success of the company. Responsibilities may include:
Watering, pruning, weeding, and caring for nursery stock Maintaining nursery grounds, displays, and surrounding property Unloading and organizing plant and product shipments Receiving, tagging, stocking, and organizing inventory Maintaining clean, orderly, and safe workspaces Assisting customers with basic questions and product direction Supporting landscape crews, designers, and operations teams with plant coordination Verify plant and material availability for scheduled installs Inventory inspections, physical counts, and data entry Monitoring minimum product quantities and inventory organization Processing returns and updating product pricing as needed Communicating plant availability, substitutions, pricing updates, and product issues to team members Snow removal operations Organizing and maintaining nursery equipment and materials Following company procedures, safety standards, and operational guidelines Assisting with training and supporting fellow team members as experience grows Professional Standards & Growth We are looking for team members who are willing to learn, grow, and uphold Nebraska Nursery & Color Gardens standards.

Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic Take pride in professionalism, organization, and cleanliness Learn and understand company products, services, systems, and procedures Help maintain and improve inventory control and nursery organization Respect equipment, property, and fellow team members Work safely, efficiently, and ethically Continue developing horticultural and operational knowledge throughout the season As experience develops, team members may also assist in training others on company standards, organization, and nursery procedures. Systems & Tools You May Work With Training will be provided as needed.
Systems and tools may include:
