Internal applicants currently working under the Public Employees (Local 71) Collective Bargaining Agreement Local union dispatched applicants External applicants and other current Municipal employees not covered under this agreement This position maintains parks, sports facilities, outdoor recreation facilities, trails, and municipally owned grounds. Winter duties may include, but are not limited to: maintaining ice rinks, ski trails, park equipment, and removing snow from trails, parking lots, and roadways. Summer duties may include, but are not limited to, collecting litter, mowing turf, cleaning and repairing bike trails, repairing playground equipment, vandalized parks, and maintaining sports fields. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Three (3) months experience in lawn, landscape, trails, construction, grounds, or facility maintenance.
• Must possess a valid State of Alaska Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
• Employment is conditional based on a satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history.
