Job Description
"Help Our Community Make the Most of Our Parks!" The Department of Parks and Recreation , Executive Services Division, is hiring a Park Permits Clerk to join the team at Sheridan Community Park! In this public-facing role, you'll help connect the community with the parks and facilities they need by reviewing park use applications, processing reservations, and helping make recreational activities and special events happen.
What You Will Do:
Reviews applications and issues permits for camping, picnicking, athletic events, concessions, special events, and other park uses. Reviews past permit records for relevant applicant history, notes, or concerns. Explains park ordinances, policies, rules, and regulations to the public. Assists applicants in selecting suitable park facilities based on their needs and activities. Coordinates permit approvals and fees with applicants, districts, and agencies. Compiles and reviews daily permits using the department's permit system. Records and reconciles permit fees and online payments.
