Champaign, IL Job Details Part-time $15.75 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits Employee assistance program Pet insurance Qualifications Customer communication Equipment setup (production tasks) In-person customer service Public safety procedures Event setup Safety standard operating procedures Full Job Description Champaign Park District - Part-Time 2, Non-Exempt Hours not to exceed 19 hours per week on average About the Job Facility Attendants are the frontline team members who keep our recreation spaces safe, welcoming, and running smoothly. From setting up equipment and monitoring activities to assisting patrons and enforcing policies, this role plays a direct role in creating positive experiences for the community across multiple Park District facilities. Summary of Responsibilities Set up and break down equipment for programs, events, and rentals Monitor facilities during open gym, events, and rentals to ensure safety and smooth operations Enforce Park District policies and safety protocols consistently Assist patrons by answering questions and resolving issues professionally Conduct routine equipment and facility inspections and report maintenance needs Complete incident and accident reports promptly and accurately Assist with opening and closing facilities according to schedule Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming recreation spaces Support training and onboarding of new staff Provide tours of facilities as needed Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and Park District standards at all times Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed Ability to follow safety procedures and enforce policies consistently Physically able to assist with equipment setup, breakdown, and manual tasks Training (Provided by the Champaign Park District) First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification Heads Up Concussion Training Mandated Reporter Training Harassment Prevention Training Bloodborne Pathogen Training Facility-specific training Why Work With Us?
