As a Pest Control Technician, you will conduct inspections, apply chemical agents safely, and implement integrated pest management strategies to ensure long-term pest control success. Responsibilities Perform thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest activity and entry points. Safely handle and apply chemical agents for pest control, adhering strictly to pesticide management protocols and safety regulations. Utilize ladders, hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery as needed for access and treatment applications in outdoor or hard-to-reach areas. Conduct confined space entry following safety procedures when working in restricted or enclosed environments. Educate customers on pest prevention techniques, including landscaping, lawn care, and general maintenance practices. Maintain accurate records of pesticide application, chemical inventory, and treatment reports in compliance with safety protocols. Operate company vehicles responsibly while adhering to driving regulations and safety standards during field operations. Requirements Proven experience with pest control methods, pesticide application knowledge, and integrated pest management strategies. Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in ladder use, hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and outdoor work environments. Strong understanding of chemical agent handling, pesticide safety protocols, respiratory protection equipment, and confined space safety procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about pest issues and prevention strategies. Knowledge of entomology (the study of insects), pest behavior, and pest control chemical handling best practices. Ability to operate company vehicles safely while demonstrating responsible driving habits. Experience working outdoors in various conditions such as farming, landscaping or agriculture is highly desirable. Physical ability to perform manual tasks involving climbing ladders or using power tools; comfort working in confined spaces when necessary.
