Job Description

Do you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and helping people enjoy their yards again? Mosquito Authority is looking for a dependable, hardworking Mosquito & Tick Control Specialist to join our team. You'll provide mosquito, tick, and fly treatments for residential and commercial properties while delivering outstanding customer service. Experience in mosquito control isn't required—we'll provide all the training you need. What matters most is your willingness to learn, work safely, and either already hold or obtain your Connecticut Applicator License. What You'll Do Work independently on a daily route schedule. Apply mosquito, tick, and fly control treatments using professional equipment and proven techniques. Inspect properties and identify conditions that contribute to pest activity. Safely operate backpack blowers and spray equipment (up to 60 lbs.) in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain. Complete service documentation accurately for state records. Answer basic customer questions professionally and communicate any concerns to management. Maintain a clean company vehicle and operate it safely. Follow all Connecticut pesticide regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company safety procedures. Participate in ongoing training to maintain licensing and improve technical knowledge. Qualifications Must hold a Connecticut Applicator License or be able to pass the Connecticut Applicator's Exam and obtain a license. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years. Able to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical work including walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, carrying equipment, and working outdoors in heat and humidity. Willingness to work occasional extended hours or weekends during peak season. Strong work ethic, reliability, and excellent customer service skills.
