Position Summary The Termite Pest Control Technician at Rock Pest Control is responsible for providing high-quality termite inspection, treatment, monitoring, and prevention services to residential, commercial, and multifamily customers. This position requires hands-on experience with both liquid termiticide applications and the Sentricon termite baiting system, along with strong attention to detail, professional communication, and a commitment to safe, effective service. Technicians perform termite inspections, liquid treatments, Sentricon installation and monitoring, follow-up services, and related Wood Destroying Insect work while maintaining accurate documentation and excellent customer relationships. What Success Looks Like Customers consistently receive thorough termite inspections and treatments that are completed safely, professionally, and according to Rock Pest Control standards. Liquid termiticide and Sentricon services are completed correctly the first time, with proper placement, application, follow-up, and documentation. Documentation in FieldRoutes is complete, clear, and entered in real time, including treatment areas, products, measurements, findings, photos, and follow-up needs. Technicians identify termite activity, structural conditions, and conducive conditions accurately and communicate findings clearly to customers and the Rock Pest Control team. Equipment, trucks, Sentricon materials, treatment tools, and PPE are maintained in clean, organized, and safe working condition. Objectives Complete assigned termite inspections, liquid treatments, Sentricon installations, monitoring services, and follow-ups accurately and on schedule. Perform liquid termiticide treatments using approved methods such as trenching, rodding, drilling, and foundation or sub-slab applications as required by the treatment plan and product label. Install, inspect, service, and maintain Sentricon termite baiting systems, ensuring stations are properly located, accessible, documented, and serviced according to company and manufacturer requirements. Identify termite activity, mud tubes, damaged wood, moisture issues, wood-to-soil contact, foundation conditions, and other factors that may contribute to termite infestation. Read and understand treatment diagrams, measurements, construction types, slabs, crawl spaces, foundations, utility penetrations, and other structural conditions that affect termite treatment. Accurately document all inspections, treatments, products, measurements, findings, photos, and follow-up recommendations in FieldRoutes for customers and team members. Protect customer property by carefully drilling, trenching, treating, accessing crawl spaces, and operating equipment while minimizing unnecessary damage to landscaping, flooring, foundations, and utilities. Maintain pumps, tanks, hoses, drills, treatment rods, Sentricon equipment, PPE, tools, and vehicles so they are clean, organized, operational, and ready for each job. Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after service, explaining findings, treatment steps, expectations, and follow-up requirements clearly and respectfully. Manage routes, time, materials, and product usage efficiently while completing every treatment thoroughly and without shortcuts. Follow all state and company safety policies, pesticide label requirements, PPE standards, and termite treatment procedures without exception. Continuously improve knowledge of termite biology, construction, liquid treatment methods, Sentricon systems, Wood Destroying Insects, products, and regulations through ongoing training and certification. Competencies Takes ownership of treatment quality, follows through on every required step, and completes work correctly even without direct supervision. Approaches inspections and treatments methodically, checking measurements, treatment areas, station placement, and documentation before leaving the property. Evaluates construction, termite activity, and site conditions carefully to select the proper approved treatment approach and solve problems without taking shortcuts. Manages routes, time, products, materials, and equipment efficiently while maintaining consistent quality and safe work practices. Builds trust with customers by explaining technical findings and treatment expectations clearly, calmly, and professionally. Accepts coaching, adapts to changing field conditions, and continually develops technical knowledge in liquid termite treatments, Sentricon systems, and Wood Destroying Insect control. Education and Experience Initial 90-Day Onboarding Period The first 90 days serve as a mutual evaluation period to ensure performance, culture fit, technical ability, and adherence to Rock Pest Control processes. Licensing and Certification Requirements Must obtain and maintain the Structural Pest Control and Wood Destroying Insect (WDI)/termite licensing or certification required for the states in which services are performed. Sentricon training and any required manufacturer training must be completed and maintained. Continuing education hours are supported by Rock Pest Control. Experience Minimum of two (2) years of termite control experience preferred. Hands-on experience with both liquid termiticide applications and the Sentricon termite baiting system is required. Experience with trenching, rodding, drilling, crawl spaces, slabs, foundations, and termite inspection is strongly preferred. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and carry termite treatment equipment and materials. Must be able to kneel, bend, trench, drill, crawl, and work in crawl spaces, basements, attics, and outdoor environments for extended periods. Must safely operate pumps, hoses, drills, treatment rods, hand tools, and Sentricon equipment in hot, cold, humid, dusty, muddy, or wet conditions. Must maintain a valid driver's license and professional appearance.
