Position Overview The Residential Pest Control Technician is responsible for providing high-quality pest management services to clients while delivering exceptional client service and maintaining compliance with all company, state, and federal regulations. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, safe pesticide handling practices, and the ability to work independently in both indoor and outdoor environments. The Residential Pest Control Technician plays a critical role in protecting client health, property, and satisfaction while supporting company growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Client Service and Communication Represent the Company with professionalism, integrity, and positivity in the field, in the office, and in the community Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, coworkers, and leadership Educate clients on pest prevention strategies, conducive conditions, and service recommendations Follow established communication protocols and chain of command Pest Control Services Conduct thorough inspections of interior and exterior residential environments to identify pest activity and contributing conditions Perform pest control applications according to company SOPs, label requirements, and all applicable regulations Apply pesticides, traps, exclusion methods, and preventative treatments safely and effectively Complete recurring, one-time, and specialty services as scheduled Identity and communicate structural, sanitation, moisture, or environmental conditions contributing to pest activity Identify opportunities to educate clients on additional company services including mosquito, wildlife, termite and moisture control solutions Identify visible signs of termite activity or conducive conditions and communicate findings according to SOP and chain of command Ensure all services are completed efficiently while maintaining quality and client satisfaction Safety and Compliance Follow all pesticide label requirements, OSHA standards, and company safety procedures Properly wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) Safely handle, transport, mix, store, and apply pesticides and all related materials Immediately report accidents, spills, injuries, vehicle damage, or safety concerns Obtain and maintain all required state certifications and licenses according to company standards Participate in ongoing training, recertification, and continuing education opportunities as requested Equipment and Vehicle Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of company vehicle according to company policies Conduct routine vehicle inspections, schedule regular maintenance, and report maintenance concerns promptly Maintain inventory of products, tools, PPE, and equipment that is assigned to vehicle Properly maintain application equipment according to company policy Ensure all equipment is safely operated and properly secured Administration and Documentation Accurately clock in and out according to company policy, including breaks Complete service documentation and treatment records promptly and accurately in FieldRoutes Document client interactions, recommendations, follow-up needs, and service details thoroughly Maintain accurate records related to product usage, inspections, and compliance requirements Physical Requirements & Work Environment Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach during inspections and service appointments Work in confined spaces including crawlspaces, attics, and other restricted-access areas Stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods of time Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures Safely operate company vehicles and application equipment Handle and apply pesticides and related materials in accordance with label requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Ability to use mobile technology and company software systems Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision Travel & Schedule Expectations Standard schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm including a one-hour lunch break Some schedule flexibility is required, particularly during peak season Primary work location is the Lexington Branch service area, with the possibility of occasional time spent supporting the entire Modern Exterminating Service Market Success Metrics/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Route completion efficiency and on-time service performance Client satisfaction and retention Service quality and callback reduction Compliance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements Accuracy and timeliness of service documentation Vehicle and equipment maintenance compliance Safety performance and incident prevention Licensing and continuing education compliance Productivity and revenue performance goals as assigned Job Description Disclaimer This job description is intended to outline the general nature and level of work being performed.
