Job Description

Join our team and play a vital role in protecting the community's health and comfort. In this hands-on position, you'll help control the mosquito population through the safe operation of truck-mounted ULV spraying equipment while supporting essential maintenance and cleaning operations. You'll work alongside experienced Mosquito Control Technicians to keep vehicles, equipment, and facilities in top condition. In conducting routine vehicle and equipment inspections and maintenance, the Mosquito Control Technician will ensure all applications are performed safely while maintaining accurate records of spray routes and chemical usage, monitoring weather conditions for effective application, responding to citizen inquiries as needed, and assisting with facility upkeep and other related mosquito abatement duties as assigned. Controls the mosquito population through application of driving and spraying adulticides using truck mounted ULV equipment. Assists Mosquito Control Technician with mosquito control truck maintenance, and cleaning of the garage. Assists Mosquito Control Technician with washing operations on the emptied barrels. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (must obtain TX driver's license within 90 days).
Preferred:
Previous experience with safe handling of pesticides. Knowledge of chemical flow pumps and electric control systems. Knowledge of the Baytown area. Certified State of Texas Pesticide Applicator license; category: Vector Control Good driving record, mechanical aptitude; knowledge of the safe use of pesticides. Good public communication skills.
