Ace Tree is seeking an experienced Tree Crew Foreman to lead a production crew performing residential and commercial tree care services throughout the Auburn, Alabama area. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for safely directing daily operations while actively participating in tree removals, pruning, rigging, equipment operation, and job site cleanup. The ideal candidate is an experienced arborist who can confidently climb when necessary, operate heavy equipment, mentor crew members, and ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to Ace Tree's quality standards. Essential Responsibilities Lead and supervise a tree care crew performing tree removals, pruning, trimming, rigging, and emergency storm work. Conduct daily job briefings, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and ensure all crew members understand the work plan. Enforce

Z133, DOT, and company safety standards at all times. Perform tree climbing using industry-approved climbing systems when required.

Safely operate equipment including:

Bucket trucks Mini skid steers Chippers Grapple trucks Loaders Chainsaws Stump grinders Plan the safest and most efficient approach to each job. Direct rigging operations and ensure proper communication between climbers and ground personnel. Train, mentor, and develop crew members in safe work practices and proper tree care techniques. Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after work is completed. Inspect vehicles, equipment, ropes, climbing gear, and PPE daily. Complete production reports, equipment inspections, and required paperwork accurately. Coordinate with dispatch and management regarding scheduling, equipment needs, and job progress. Ensure every job site is left clean, safe, and professionally maintained. Stop work immediately whenever unsafe conditions exist. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of professional tree care experience. Previous experience leading tree crews preferred. Professional climbing experience required or the demonstrated ability to safely perform climbing operations. Experience operating aerial lifts, loaders, chippers, skid steers, grapple trucks, or similar equipment. Valid driver's license required. CDL Class A or B preferred (or willingness to obtain). Ability to meet company driving and insurance requirements. Knowledge of proper rigging, pruning, and tree removal techniques. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and

safety standards. Preferred Qualifications ISA Certified Arborist (preferred). CTSP (Certified Treecare Safety Professional) is a plus. CPR/First Aid certification. Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Physical Requirements Ability to climb trees and work at heights exceeding 75 feet. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly. Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions. Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pulling, and prolonged standing. Ability to operate chainsaws, climbing equipment, and heavy machinery safely for extended periods. Success in This Role A successful Foreman leads by example.
