Support Technician The Support Staff will have responsible interaction with clients of a medical detoxification unit upon admission and discharge. The person in this position will assist the Program Manager with clients. The Support Technician will also be responsible for maintaining and recognizing client privacy and other duties designated by the Program Manager or The Journey Corporate Office.

Special Skills Required:

The person in this position must have excellent communication skills and be non-judgmental when working with clients.

Education/Certification:

A high school diploma or equivalent and/or certification in substance abuse counseling is preferred. Life experience can be substituted for degree upon review of the Program Manager. A valid Driver's License with a good driving history.

Work Environment/Physical Activity:

The Support Technician position will require minimal lifting, pulling or pushing. The position may require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Climbing stairs could be as frequent or greater than five times per day.' '
