We're looking for an experienced, full-time bartender to take the lead behind the bar at The Loft at Lake Martin Beach Club . The Loft is a newly opened section of LMBC with a completely different feel from downstairs. It's a little more laid-back and grown-up, with a seated bar, outdoor deck, pool table, shuffleboard, live music on some weekends and maybe a dance or two. The bar will also be different. While we'll still serve plenty of beer and the basics, The Loft will be more focused on bourbon, cocktails and a well-made drink ...with a beautiful lake view. We're looking for someone who has been doing this for years and knows what they're doing behind a bar. You should be comfortable making just about anything someone asks for without having to look up every other drink. This isn't an entry-level bartender position. We're looking for someone who is mature, dependable, personable and comfortable taking ownership of their bar. We want someone who gets to know the regulars, keeps a clean and organized bar, makes great drinks and helps us build the kind of atmosphere we're trying to create upstairs. This is a set 5-day schedule , and we're looking for someone who can work all five days every week:

PM Thursday:

4 PM-10

PM Friday:

4 PM-12

AM Saturday:

4 PM-12

AM Sunday:

4 PM-10 PM You will be the primary bartender for The Loft during these open hours with additional help on Fri/Sat nights. Pay for this position is $10/hr + tips. What We're Looking For Several years of bartending experience Strong cocktail knowledge Good knowledge of bourbon and whiskey Able to make classic drinks without relying on a recipe for everything Friendly and comfortable talking with customers Mature and dependable Clean and organized behind the bar Able to handle a busy bar without getting overwhelmed Available for the entire Wednesday-Sunday schedule We're not looking for someone who wants to pick up an occasional shift.
