What they do
A Tree Climber or Trimmer trims and prunes trees. Clears away excess branches near utility lines or over roads or sidewalks. Prunes dead or diseased tree limbs to improve the appearance and health of the tree. Uses rigging equipment and may work from a truck powered lift; uses chain saws and other power equipment.

Job Description
The California Conservation Corps' Monterey Bay Center, located in Watsonville, has openings for Corpsmembers to work and train on natural resource projects. Projects include working in local and state parks, as well building and maintaining trails, fuel reduction, wetlands restoration, and more! No prior experience necessary! You must be 18-25 years old or military veteran 29 or younger. Corpsmembers regularly go on to careers with State Parks, Caltrans, and other local community, state, and federal agencies. Shift times and length may vary by assignment, but the program is a 40-hour per week commitment.
