Tree Removal Crew Member Mahomet Landscapes Mahomet, Illinois Area Full-Time | Hourly Mahomet Landscapes is looking for a dependable, hardworking Tree Removal Crew Member to join our team. This is a hands-on, outdoor position working alongside an experienced crew on tree removal, trimming, cleanup, equipment operation, and other landscape projects. We're looking for someone who enjoys working outside, is comfortable working with their hands, and wants to learn and develop real skills in the tree care industry. Previous tree removal experience is a plus, but not required. We're willing to train the right person. Work ethic, reliability, good judgment, and a willingness to learn are just as important to us as previous experience. What You'll Do Work alongside our crew on tree removal and trimming jobs Assist with tree and limb removal Learn safe and proper chainsaw operation Assist with ropes, rigging, brush removal, and ground operations Operate chippers, skid steers, loaders, and other equipment once trained and authorized Load and haul brush, logs, equipment, and debris Help with job-site setup and cleanup Maintain tools, trucks, trailers, and equipment Follow established safety procedures Communicate professionally with customers and other crew members Assist with landscaping and other company projects when needed Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Dependable and punctual Hardworking and willing to stay productive Comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work Safety-conscious Mechanically inclined or comfortable learning tools and equipment Able to listen, learn, and follow direction A good problem-solver Comfortable working as part of a crew Professional and respectful around customers Willing to take initiative Interested in learning new skills and becoming more capable over time Experience That's a Plus Experience with any of the following is helpful, but not necessarily required: Tree removal or tree care Chainsaws Tree climbing Rigging Chippers, skid steers, loaders, or other equipment Landscaping Construction or other trades Farming or agriculture Mechanical work Training & Opportunity for Advancement You do not need to know everything on day one. We're willing to train team members who demonstrate a strong work ethic, good judgment, reliability, and an eagerness to learn. As skills and experience develop, there may be opportunities to learn more advanced aspects of tree removal, equipment operation, job planning, and other areas of the business.
