Manager of Infrastructure
ESTIMATED START
Fall 2026. The position will remain open until filled.
COMPENSATION RANGE
$28-36/hr, commensurate with experience.
EMPLOYMENT TYPE & CLASS
Full-time, Year-round, Hourly (Non-Exempt)
WORK HOURS
Generally 40 hours per week with seasonal variation based on operational needs. Overtime may be required during busy periods and is paid in accordance with company policy.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
As required for visits to Knoxville, industry conventions, professional training, etc. Lodging and mileage paid by Navitat. Maximum 40 days/year.

Job Summary The Manager of Infrastructure is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, repairing, and improving Navitat's aerial courses, grounds, roads, buildings, vehicles, equipment, and other infrastructure. This is a hands-on position that works both in the field and in daily operations. Responsibilities include inspections, maintenance, construction, equipment operation, purchasing, training, and, from time-time, overseeing daily operations. This position is expected to take ownership of assigned work, solve problems, and continually improve the operation while helping provide a safe, reliable, and enjoyable experience for guests and staff. Primary Responsibilities Maintain and improve aerial adventure courses, including ziplines, bridges, ascents, descents, platforms, braking systems, and related infrastructure. Maintain and improve trails, roads, utilities, and buildings. Maintain all infrastructure vehicles and equipment. Oversee daily pre-use checks and make necessary corrections. Perform periodic inspections in accordance with company procedures and applicable standards. Perform zipline corridor clearing of tree limbs and branches. Purchase and maintain rope-access equipment, power equipment, rope, rigging equipment, tools, and materials. Perform carpentry, fabrication, repairs, and construction projects. Identify maintenance needs and recommend practical improvements. Secondary Responsibilities Serve as Manager on Duty when operational support is needed. Train guide staff in course inspection, operation, trail maintenance, and construction. Assist with projects at Navitat Knoxville as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must live within approximately 20 minutes of 242 Poverty Branch Rd., Barnardsville, NC. Excellent spatial awareness and mechanical problem-solving ability. Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to employees with varying levels of experience. Commercial skid-steer experience required. Strong rough-framing, carpentry, fabrication, and general construction skills. Experience with rope access and rigging in a commercial environemnt. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to remain composed while solving problems. Ability to lift or pull up to 50 lbs., traverse rough terrain, and work outdoors for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications A lifelong interest in building, fixing, improving, climbing, or working outdoors. Adventure/outdoor guiding experience. Drawing/sketching skills. Multi-pitch rock climbing experience. Arboriculture or professional tree work experience. Fluency in Spanish.
