Deep Roots Tree Co. is looking to add a dependable, hardworking crew member to our tree service team in the Rapid City/Black Hills area. We are open to both experienced tree workers and applicants who are new to the industry but willing to learn. Experience with tree work, chainsaws, skid steers, equipment, landscaping, construction, farming, or other physical outdoor work is a plus, but not required for an entry-level position. This is hands-on outdoor work involving tree removal, pruning, brush and log cleanup, operating equipment, hauling material, and maintaining trucks, trailers, saws, and other equipment.

•35+/hr Starting pay will depend on experience and demonstrated ability. Employees have a clear path to higher pay as they develop skills and take on more responsibility. Raises and advancement are based on performance, reliability, safety, productivity, skill, and leadership—not simply time employed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Depending on experience, responsibilities may include dragging and processing brush, handling ropes, running chainsaws, operating skid steers and other equipment, loading and tarping trailers, assisting with removals and pruning, jobsite cleanup, equipment inspections and maintenance, driving company vehicles, climbing, rigging, and eventually leading jobs and crew members.

SCHEDULE

This is primarily a full-time position. Tree work can be seasonal and hours may fluctuate depending on workload and weather, but we typically remain busy through much of the fall and winter. Some longer days and occasional travel within the Black Hills region should be expected.
