ORA_ON_SITE Description SAIC is seeking an experienced Senior AI/ML Engineer to join our Technical Engineering and Design Department in support of our United States Air Force customer. This position is on-site in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities:
Develop automation to deploy and configure software applications based on GitOps principles and declarative programming principles. Support the onboarding of applications through all environments using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) promotion and automation methods. Establish governance processes for promoting applications across various engineering environments. Identify deficiencies in DevSecOps workflows and design solutions to address them. Support engagements with application providers to coordinate integration of their applications. Support the automation of Configuration Management and the visibility into the status of CM across various environments. Implement and promote systems engineering principles to ensure program success. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability of the system. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings and share insights with stakeholders. Create, improve, and maintain automation across the Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline. Deploy and configure software applications using the system CI/CD pipeline.
Qualities:
Demonstrated expertise in onboarding, promoting, and managing applications across various environments, including staging, testing, and production. Proven track record in designing and implementing governance processes for engineering environments. Experience in automation tools and techniques, including configuration management and system validation. Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and their application to IT projects. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. ArgoCD, Gitlab, Helm, Kubernetes). Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience in reporting project status to leadership. Familiarity with modern IT frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Agile, ITIL). Understanding of business and technical alignment to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in a technical field 5+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, including systems engineering, DevSecOps, and application lifecycle management 5+ years of experience developing automation using Ansible TS/SCI clearance IAT Level II certification Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
