Job Description:

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Technician B•Paint Prep to support aircraft painting operations in Columbus, MS. This role is responsible for surface preparation, masking, and taping of aircraft and aircraft subassemblies prior to priming and painting. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in a production-driven environment. Essential Functions Perform surface preparation for painting, including sanding, masking, filling, and washing Tape and protect aircraft surfaces and areas not designated for paint Assist with priming and painting of aircraft and aircraft subassemblies as required all directives related to surface preparation and layout taping Maintain minimal scrap levels Maintain shop and work area cleanliness (sweeping, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces) Comply with all safety, quality, and company procedures

Job Requirements:

Minimum of six (6) months of related experience Experience may include industrial, automotive, or aviation surface preparation or painting Ability to understand and apply directives related to surface preparation and taping layouts Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment Preferred Qualifications Aviation paint experience (preferred but not required) Physical Requirements The physical demands described below must be met to perform the essential functions of this role, with or without reasonable accommodation:
