Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team, part-time or full time. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and have experience with various mechanical and electrical systems. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repairing equipment, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and enhancing overall productivity. Duties Perform routine maintenance on equipment and facilities, including HVAC trouble shooting, ensuring optimal functionality and safety. Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and the Property Manager. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLC) for diagnostics and repairs. Complete all service requests within 24 hours, unless the request requires extraordinary parts or labor. Read and interpret schematics to identify issues and implement solutions effectively. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Perform on-call emergency service requests when scheduled. When on call, emergency after-hours calls will require an immediate response and arrival at the property no more than an hour after the call is received. Assist in residential painting projects as part of facility upkeep. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with staff or clients regarding maintenance issues. Requirements Minimum of 1-3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multi-family.
HVAC/EPA
certifications preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair various systems. Possess proven knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs, roofing repairs, and other general maintenance skills. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) is preferred. Takes initiative and self-motivated to complete tasks at hand. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively. Previous experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments is essential. Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends, as scheduled for on-call service requests. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Requires constant movement. Must be able to carry, move, transport, position, install, remove, or continuously lift weight up to 75 lbs. Knowledge of using an ohmmeter for electrical testing is beneficial.
