Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our inpatient behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric and medical care to adults recovering from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. You will work alongside psychiatrists, therapists, and counselors in a collaborative, trauma-informed environment focused on whole-person recovery.
Schedule:
Saturday - Sunday, part-time What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and physical health assessments for newly admitted and ongoing patients Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions related to substance use disorders and mental health Prescribe and manage medications, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) such as buprenorphine and naltrexone Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team Monitor patient progress and make evidence-based adjustments to treatment protocols Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed Develop and review medical policies, procedures, and admission protocols Coordinate care with external medical and psychiatric providers Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and staff training initiatives Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations Requirements Active, unrestricted APRN license in the state of Kentucky Master's or Doctorate in Nursing (MSN or DNP) Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral health, addiction medicine, or a related clinical field DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances Experience with MAT protocols and detox management (strongly preferred) Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and crisis intervention skills Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based psychiatric treatments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with patients, families, and care teams Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity inpatient environment
Pay:
From $60.00 per hour
