  • Full-time Position Summary The Architect is responsible for the design, drafting, certification, and execution of residential and commercial spaces that are functional, buildable, and aesthetically aligned with both client expectations and company standards.
This role requires an AIA-certified/licensed professional who is able to review, stamp, and seal architectural drawings as required for permitting and construction. This position combines technical precision with creative design expertise across both architectural and interior design scopes. The Architect will work directly with clients from concept through completion, overseeing space planning, 3D modeling, construction documentation, estimating support, material coordination, construction detailing, and final inspections. Success in this role requires strong CAD proficiency, exceptional client communication, a thorough understanding of construction processes and code requirements, and a strong eye for thoughtful, innovative design. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design Development Create architectural and interior design concepts that meet client goals and comply with regulatory requirements. Conduct space planning, layout, material selection, and furniture coordination. Produce 2D and 3D models that reflect client visions while aligning with drafting and design standards. Collaborate with Project Managers to confirm that concepts are buildable, code-compliant, and budget-aligned. Client Collaboration Lead client meetings to gather requirements and present design concepts. Incorporate feedback and revisions while maintaining design integrity. Keep all documentation, tasks, and drawings up to date in project management software. Project Execution Translate design plans into accurate technical drawings and product specifications. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, construction teams, and trades to ensure accurate delivery and execution. Schedule and lead Construction Planning Meetings when assigned as the project lead. Technical Drawings and Specifications Create detailed CAD construction drawings, elevations, sections, and 3D renderings. Maintain and update technical documentation, including specifications and product schedules. Ensure that all documents meet internal standards and client expectations. Project Coordination Oversee day-to-day design and drafting efforts on multiple active projects. Conduct jobsite visits to verify design implementation and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Manage drafting and design timelines, ensuring alignment with project scope and milestones. Material Selection and Procurement Research and recommend cost-effective materials, finishes, and fixtures. Prepare and update product orders using PO tracking software. Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing in alignment with project budgets. Industry Knowledge and Trends Stay current with design trends, building materials, code updates, and drafting technologies. Attend relevant trade shows, vendor trainings, and industry events to grow expertise. Quality Assurance Ensure that all projects meet high standards of quality, functionality, and regulatory compliance. Address any design or drafting issues that arise during the project to ensure successful outcomes. Conduct final reviews of technical drawings and plans to ensure the project meets all design specifications and client expectations.
