Job Captain - Architect Public Sector Netta Architects is a nationally recognized, award-winning architecture firm with over 33 years of experience and offices in New Jersey, South Florida, and New York. Our team of 75 professionals—including licensed architects, interior designers, and LEED-accredited staff—delivers complex public and private projects nationwide, with a strong portfolio throughout Florida. We offer a collaborative, production-focused studio environment with opportunities for long-term growth, technical advancement, and licensure support. Position Summary Netta Architects is seeking a technically strong Job Captain with 5+ years of professional experience with Florida public-sector projects. This role is ideal for a motivated professional on the architectural licensure track who thrives in a fast-paced, documentation-driven environment and is comfortable carrying projects through construction. The Job Captain will work closely with Project Architects and Project Managers to lead production, coordinate consultants, and support construction administration on complex, code-intensive projects. Project Types Governmental and Civic Facilities (courthouses, public safety, emergency services, institutional buildings) K-12 and Higher Education academic and administrative facilities Multi-Family Housing (market-rate and affordable) Key Responsibilities Lead architectural production from design development through construction documents Develop and manage Revit® models and coordinated drawing sets for public-sector submissions Coordinate with consultants, agencies, and internal teams to ensure code compliance and document accuracy Assist with quality control reviews, detailing, and technical problem-solving Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, field observations, and agency responses Clearly communicate design intent and technical information through drawings, sketches, and presentations Work within established schedules, budgets, and public procurement requirements Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience Strong experience with Florida Building Code, accessibility requirements, and public-sector documentation standards Proficiency in Revit ® and preparation of coordinated construction documents Solid understanding of building systems, detailing, and consultant coordination Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams Bachelor's degree in Architecture required Actively pursuing architectural licensure (preferred)
