This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Senior Project Architect who understands how New York education projects are designed, documented and constructed. The position combines project leadership with hands-on technical delivery, Revit production, consultant coordination and construction administration. Package Salary from $120,000 , dependent on experience Medical, dental and vision coverage Paid vacation, wellness time and holidays 401(k) retirement plan Professional-development and licensure support Transit or parking assistance Long-term progression within a national architectural practice Role Details The Senior Project Architect / Project Architect will lead the technical delivery of new-build, renovation and modernization projects for K-12 schools, public schools and education clients throughout New York.

You will:

Lead K-12 education projects from design development through construction documents and construction administration Direct the production and coordination of architectural drawings, specifications and technical packages Remain hands-on in Revit while reviewing the work of architects, designers and production teams Coordinate structural, MEP, envelope, accessibility, life-safety and specialist consultants Resolve technical, code, constructability and coordination issues Manage submissions, RFIs, submittals and construction-phase requirements Maintain strong relationships with education clients, consultants, contractors and public agencies Oversee several school and education projects at different stages Protect the design intent while ensuring that documentation is coordinated, accurate and buildable Mentor junior architects while remaining actively involved in project delivery This is a delivery-focused Senior Project Architect position, not a purely conceptual design role. The successful architect will be comfortable leading people while still working directly with drawings, Revit models, construction documents and technical details. Requirements Experience as a Senior Project Architect, Project Architect, Lead Architect or technically focused Senior Architect Approximately 15+ years of architectural experience Professional architectural license Strong portfolio of K-12, education, school or public-sector projects New York education experience, ideally including NYCSCA or comparable public-school authorities Experience delivering both new construction and renovation projects Advanced Revit skills and willingness to use Revit regularly Strong knowledge of construction documents, specifications, building codes and construction administration Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams Experience managing clients, project teams and concurrent deadlines Based in, or able to commute consistently to, New York City This Senior Project Architect / Project Architect opportunity would suit a technically strong architect who enjoys delivering purposeful K-12 education and school projects and wants to play an important role within a growing New York team.
