Job Description

Position Summary:
Indian Mountain School (IMS) is seeking a dependable and versatile Building and Grounds Generalist to support the maintenance and operations of our facilities. This role requires effective communication, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
Essential Functions:
Maintain all school buildings and grounds to ensure optimal use and appearance Ensure work aligns with IMS standards, safety protocols, and compliance guidelines Operate all maintenance equipment and machinery safely and effectively Communicate professionally with faculty, staff, students, families, and vendors Adapt to changes, respond to emergencies, and take initiative on assigned tasks Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings Commitment to confidentiality and student privacy
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift/carry/move materials 50+ lbs Physical stamina for climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and working at heights Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions Tolerance for dusty, noisy, and occasionally odorous environments Ability to operate vehicles and heavy equipment safely Tobacco-free campus
