Job Description

Pay Competitive pay based on experience We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Screed Operator to join our paving crew. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and controlling the screed on an asphalt paver to ensure proper depth, grade, and smoothness of asphalt placement on roadway and sitework paving projects. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work closely with the paving foreman and crew to produce high-quality asphalt mats. Responsibilities
  • Operate and control the screed on asphalt paving equipment
  • Maintain proper depth, slope, and smoothness of asphalt mat
  • Work closely with the paving foreman to maintain grade and alignment
  • Adjust screed settings including crown, slope, and thickness
  • Monitor asphalt material flow and assist with paving operations as needed
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
  • Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience operating an asphalt screed preferred
  • Experience with roadway and parking lot paving
  • Ability to read grade stakes and maintain proper slope
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Knowledge of asphalt paving procedures and compaction practices
  • Valid driver's license preferred Benefits
