Job Description
Vertical Earth is seeking experienced and dependable Asphalt Equipment Operators to join our growing paving team. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality roadway, parking lot, and site development projects throughout the region. We are looking for safety-focused individuals who take pride in their work and have experience operating asphalt paving and support equipment. Position Summary The Asphalt Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment used in asphalt paving operations while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards. Operators must work closely with paving crews, foremen, and project teams to ensure successful project completion. Equipment Experience Preferred Candidates should have 1.5 yrs+ experience operating one or more of the following: Asphalt Paver Roller Asphalt Distributor / Tack Truck Road Broom / Power Sweeper Shuttle Buggy Screed Operation Experience Asphalt Milling Machine Etc. Responsibilities Operate asphalt paving equipment safely and efficiently. Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance. Follow project plans, grades, and paving specifications. Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment as needed. Work closely with paving crews to maintain production schedules. Report equipment issues promptly to supervisors. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all company and OSHA safety regulations. Assist with other construction tasks as needed. Qualifications Minimum 1.5 years of experience operating asphalt paving or heavy construction equipment. Experience working on asphalt paving, roadway, or site development projects heavily preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Reliable transportation to and from project sites. Ability to work overtime, nights, and occasional weekends as project schedules require. Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings. We are a Drug Free workplace and
