POSITION OVERVIEW

McGath Concrete & Asphalt is looking for an experienced Asphalt Crew Worker to join our asphalt and concrete crews. This is a hands-on position requiring the ability to manage tasks from prep to finish. Responsibilities range from shoveling and loading to machine operation. The successful candidate must be a strong team player, willing to cross- train, and open to learning.

SCHEDULE

Monday-Thursday:

7:00 AM-5:30 PM Approximately 40 hours per week on the normal schedule. Fridays may be required depending on weather, project schedules, workload, and business needs. Start and end times may change based on weather and jobsite conditions. Schedule flexibility is required. Construction work can be affected by weather, so candidates must be willing to adjust their schedule when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform hands-on asphalt crew work from prep to finish. Execute duties ranging from shoveling, luting, heavy equipment. Operate asphalt and construction machinery safely and efficiently. Work closely with the foreman and crew members to ensure tasks are completed where they are needed. Participate fully in cross-training and show a willingness to learn new jobsite tasks. Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements. Communicate effectively with the team regarding project progress and daily objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience working on an asphalt or construction crew. Ability to handle all phases of a job from prep to finish, including physical labor like shoveling and luting. Experience operating jobsite machinery and equipment. Strong commitment to working as part of a team. Openness to cross-training and eagerness to learn. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions. Flexibility to work Fridays, as well as variable start and end times based on weather and project needs.

COMPENSATION

Pay is dependent on experience.
