We will assist in getting your insurance and appropriate licenses if needed but must posses an appropriate work truck. In this role, you will be responsible for applying asphalt sealant, crack filling, and patchwork to protect and extend the lifespan of asphalt driveways, parking lots, and other paved areas. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on dynamic construction sites, utilizing many different types of equipment and hand tools while adhering to strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate is energetic, loves to work outdoors, detail-oriented, and passionate about the quality of their workmanship. Responsibilities Light landscaping to prepare surfaces by cleaning, sweeping, and ensuring proper adhesion for sealing applications Operate and properly maintain a sealant tank with an internal mixer Mix and apply asphalt sealant using manual handling techniques in accordance with project specifications Appropriately fill and seal cracks and patchwork following all operating procedures Effectively communicate with office and operations staff in all situations such as, but not limited to, weather updates, job issues, taking before/after pics of all jobs, and anything else that may potentially arise Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, proper hydration, hazardous materials handling, company quality protocols, and customer property cleanliness Qualifications Must possess a a valid Missouri driver's license and a heavy duty work truck that can have an asphalt sealer mixing tank installed or have a trailer able to have a mixer installed onto it Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, manual tools, and general construction site equipment maintenance Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks outdoors in various weather conditions Strong understanding of asphalt maintenance and the ability to constantly improve their knowledge and quality of workmanship Must possess customer service skills such as adhering to customer requests, excellent listening skills, customer empathy, effectively communicate prodedures in a way that each individual customer can understand, stay calm/properly communicate/de-escalate/problem-solve any issues that may arise Previous experience working in the outdoors, infrastructure, or roadway construction projects is highly desirable Join our team if you're ready to make a tangible impact on our community while working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment!
