Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Asphalt Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of asphalt paving and construction site operations. This role involves working with heavy equipment and performing tasks that contribute to the successful completion of asphalt projects. The Asphalt Worker will play a crucial role in ensuring that all work meets quality standards and safety regulations. Duties Perform various tasks during milling and paving operations. Perform utility locating to ensure safe excavation and installation processes. Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and grading surfaces. Mix, lay, and finish asphalt according to project specifications. Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites. Follow safety protocols to minimize risks while operating machinery and working on-site. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with rollers, pavers, milling machines, backhoes, loaders, and graders. Familiarity with asphalt paving techniques and construction site practices. Ability to follow detailed instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods. Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site environments.
