Seasonal (Full-Time During Paving Season) Position Overview Asphalt Services of Ohio is seeking an experienced Commercial Asphalt Paving Foreman to lead a paving crew on commercial asphalt projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who already knows the work, can manage a crew professionally, and consistently deliver quality paving. The Foreman is responsible for job execution from start to finish—setting pace, directing crew activities, ensuring quality and safety, coordinating with operations, on site superintendents, asphalt plants, and completing work on schedule and per specifications. Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a commercial asphalt paving crew with professionalism and accountability
- Set job pace, assign tasks, and manage daily crew productivity
- Ensure proper mat quality, joints, grade, and compaction meet plans and specifications
- Read and interpret plans, specs, and job layouts
- Coordinate with Operations Team, material suppliers, superintendents and truck drivers.
- Enforce company policies, safety rules, and jobsite safety standards
- Operate paving equipment as needed (paver, roller, skid steers, etc)
- Maintain quality control, jobsite organization, and schedule compliance
- Ensure consistent attendance, readiness, and professional jobsite conduct Required Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Proven experience running a commercial asphalt paving crew
- Strong knowledge of asphalt paving methods, materials, and quality standards
- Ability to read plans, follow specifications, and execute work accordingly
- Demonstrated leadership and crew management skills
- Ability to operate paving equipment when required
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and reliability
