An IT Director manages and directs information technology at a senior executive level for a company or organization. Manages the flow of information within the organization; identifies and manages technology needed to support access to information and integration of systems within the organization.
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Prophet 21 (P21) professional to serve as a strategic technology partner to our client's executive leadership. This role will play a critical part in owning the P21 ERP system, optimizing workflows and integrations, and overseeing broader IT infrastructure, security, and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement an IT strategy aligned with company growth and business objectives Serve as a strategic technology partner to executive leadership Manage the Prophet 21 (P21) ERP system Identify opportunities to optimize P21 workflows, reporting, integrations, and business processes Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, SaaS applications, and end-user services Manage the IT budget, vendors, contracts, and technology investments Establish IT policies, procedures, security standards, and best practices Evaluate technology and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements:
Hands-on Prophet 21 (P21) experience, including administration, reporting, integrations, and process optimization Solid understanding of distribution processes, with the ability to communicate effectively across purchasing, inventory, warehouse, sales, and finance departments
Preferred:
Strong strategic planning, leadership, and negotiation skills EDI and API experience Experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, and system improvements IT infrastructure support experience
