Your Impact and Responsibilities As an Asphalt Crew Member, you are at the heart of our operations. You'll work alongside skilled professionals to create safe, high-quality roads that keep people and commerce moving.Your responsibilities include:
Championing Safety:
Consistently adhere to all safety protocols and company policies. Use the correct tools, equipment, and protective gear to ensure a secure website for yourself and your crew.Supporting Your Team:
Collaborate with managers and co-workers in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Communicate clearly, solve problems, and help maintain a positive team dynamic.Executing Project Tasks:
Assist with shoveling, raking, and wheelbarrow operation. You'll help signal operators, facilitate the movement of materials, and follow directions for each unique project or job site.Operating Tools & Equipment:
You may be called upon to run small power tools (such as a jackhammer) and handle traffic control devices like signs, cones, and barricades.Material Handling:
Lift, carry, and position construction materials, tools, and supplies for maximum efficiency and safety.Site Preparation:
Dig, spread, and level construction materials to prepare and maintain job sites.Problem Reporting:
Proactively communicate any concerns or issues to your manager to keep projects running smoothly.Adaptability:

Successfully pass a pre-employment "Fit for Work" physical, drug screening, and criminal background check. Demonstrate endurance in lifting, carrying, and manual labor tasks.Documentation:
Able to provide valid I-9 documentation for employment eligibility.Driver Requirements:
Complete safe driver training and maintain a valid driver's license (CDL preferred) with a good driving record that meets company standards.PPE Compliance:
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined by OSHA/MSHA and company policies.Age Requirement:
Must be at least 18 years old due to the nature of the work environment. Preferred Experience & Education High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required). Prior experience in the construction or paving field is a plus, but we welcome applications from motivated individuals eager to learn and grow. Physical & Work Environment Requirements- Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
- Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.
- Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
- Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
