Comply with operating safety rules and regulations. Able to read and understand grade stakes, blue tops, automated machine control. Asphalt compaction at paving site. this extends to break down, intermediate and finish roller operators using any type of heavy compaction equipment. Knowledge of asphalt rolling patterns and best practices Knowledge of compaction testing and temperature requirement. When not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor. Ability to operate an asphalt roller, paver, and/or screed safely and effectively Ability to read and understand instructions Ability to perform basic maintenance on the roller Ability to inspect rollers for any abnormalities Ability to comply with safety procedures
