Paving Equipment Operator Bakersfield, CA $25-$28/hr
DOE Full-Time Now Hiring:
All Levels of Asphalt & Paving Experience Are you looking to grow your career in the paving industry? We're hiring Paving Equipment Operators, Screed Operators, Roller Operators, Asphalt Laborers, and other paving professionals for ongoing road, highway, and commercial paving projects throughout the area. Whether you're an experienced operator or someone with hands-on asphalt paving experience looking for your next opportunity, we want to hear from you. What You'll Be Doing Operating paving equipment based on your experience level Assisting with asphalt paving projects on roads, highways, and parking lots Working alongside foremen, operators, truck drivers, and paving crews Supporting paving operations through asphalt placement, raking, compaction, and site preparation Performing daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance Following project specifications for grade, depth, and quality standards Using hand and power tools safely and effectively Maintaining a safe, clean, and productive jobsite Following all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Qualifications Previous asphalt paving, road construction, or heavy civil construction experience preferred Experience as a paving laborer, roller operator, screed operator, paver operator, or heavy equipment operator is a plus Willingness to learn and grow within the paving industry Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work Strong work ethic and reliable attendance Ability to work well in a team environment Overtime and weekend availability as project schedules require Valid California Driver's License preferred Who Should Apply? Employees should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions, around heavy equipment, and on roads, highways, and commercial paving projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
