Job Description

LOCAL position, NO Per Diem or Travel paid Responsible for building large tanks, heavy pipe-work, and pressure vessels for nuclear power plants, refineries, and chemical manufacturers. Must be able to assemble, erect and maintain boilers, tanks pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pollution control systems, furnaces, condensers, water towers, pen-stocks and scroll casings. Performs maintenance and repair of stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. Must be able to perform metal working, mechanical and manual work, and troubleshooting of equipment. Aligns structures or plate sections in accordance with blueprints. Sets up and operates brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses to cut, shape, and form metal into parts or sections. Uses hoisting, rigging, welding equipment, tools and hardware. Demonstrated ability to use a wide variety of hand and powered tools, powered equipment, and measuring and testing equipment. Able to read and understand drawings, specifications and applicable codes and standards
Requirements:
Three years experience as boilermaker Welding experience including some tube welding, must pass weld testing Must pass Background Investigation Must Pass Drug Screening Must complete site specific safety training prior to reporting
