Boiler Technician

ob description: Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Boiler Technician to join our industrial maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of high-pressure steam and industrial boilers, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Your expertise will help maintain reliable boiler systems that support our facility's operations, contributing to a safe, efficient, and productive environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about mechanical systems and troubleshooting. Responsibilities Operate and monitor high-pressure steam boilers and industrial boiler systems to ensure continuous, safe operation. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of boilers and associated mechanical equipment. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct repairs on boilers, including welding, mechanical components, valves, gauges, and piping systems. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and operational logs. Collaborate with building automation systems (BAS) to optimize boiler performance and energy efficiency. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using engineering principles and equipment manuals to minimize downtime. Qualifications Proven experience working with industrial boilers, including high-pressure steam boilers and related mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and control system diagrams accurately. Skilled in welding, equipment repair, and mechanical systems maintenance within an industrial setting. Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and industrial equipment operation is preferred. Experience in field service environments with a focus on industrial maintenance is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to engineering troubleshooting and equipment repair. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients alike.
