Lexington Center, the largest provider of outpatient and residential substance use disorder services in the Hudson Valley, is seeking a Full-Time Payroll Assistant to join our Headquarters team.
The Payroll Assistant provides administrative and technical support to the Director of Payroll and Employee Benefits in all aspects of payroll processing and related functions. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and comfortable working with confidential employee and payroll information. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now. Review payroll information for accuracy and completeness, including employee hours, earnings, deductions, adjustments, and other payroll-related data. Assist with payroll reconciliations and research and resolve payroll discrepancies. Enter and maintain payroll-related information in ADP Workforce Now. Assist with processing employee changes affecting payroll, including new hires, terminations, status changes, pay changes, deductions, and other personnel transactions. Prepare, maintain, and analyze payroll reports and spreadsheets. Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and work with formulas, spreadsheets, and data calculations. Assist with payroll audits and other compliance-related activities. Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and personal information. Provide responsive and professional customer service to employees and managers regarding payroll-related questions. Work collaboratively with Human Resources, Finance, and other departments as needed. Perform other payroll and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications 2-5 years of recent hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now is required. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and utilize formulas and spreadsheets. Strong mathematical, analytical, and calculation skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to identify discrepancies and independently research and resolve issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently. Strong numerical aptitude and comfort working extensively with numbers and detailed data. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet payroll deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with numbers, is highly detail-oriented, and takes pride in accuracy. This individual should be comfortable working with large amounts of data, identifying discrepancies, working with formulas and spreadsheets, and meeting strict payroll deadlines.
Experience with payroll processing, payroll reconciliation, and ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
