Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and factory-trained Boiler Technician with 5-7 years of experience in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting factory-trained boilers. Experience in healthcare or hospital settings is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of boiler systems, safety protocols, and compliance requirements, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Boiler Maintenance & Repair:
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on factory-trained boilers, including steam and hot water systems. Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Installation & Upgrades:
Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of boiler systems in compliance with manufacturer specifications. Conduct upgrades and retrofits as necessary to optimize system efficiency.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, codes, and regulations, particularly in healthcare or hospital environments. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and safety checks.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify operational issues and recommend corrective actions. Respond promptly to emergency service requests to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with facility management and other maintenance personnel to coordinate repairs and system improvements. Provide guidance and training to on-site staff on proper boiler operation and maintenance.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed logs and documentation for all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Qualifications:
Experience:
5-7 years of hands-on experience with factory-trained boilers.
Preferred Background:
Previous experience in healthcare or hospital settings is highly desirable.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications are a plus).
Certifications:
Boiler Operator License or equivalent certification (required). Additional factory training certifications (preferred). This is a contract to Union position
