In this vital role, you will support masons and other tradespeople by preparing and organizing materials, assisting with masonry tasks, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations on-site. Your energetic approach will help maintain safety standards, uphold quality workmanship, and contribute to the timely completion of construction projects. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in masonry and construction while working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist masons with rebar installation, concrete finishing, bricklaying, stone masonry, and other masonry tasks. Prepare construction sites by handling building materials, mixing mortar, and setting up scaffolding or formwork as needed. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely and efficiently under supervision. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support accurate construction work. Maintain safety protocols by adhering to site safety guidelines and inspecting equipment regularly. Support the installation of building materials such as stucco, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and roofing components. Assist with renovation and restoration projects by preparing surfaces and supporting finishing work. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, concrete masonry work, tile laying, plastering, and mortar work. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and masonry scaffold building. Familiarity with building material installation including bricklaying, stone masonry, stucco application, and roof components. Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites. Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to interpret construction plans accurately.
