Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life while ensuring safety, durability, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship and construction to contribute to diverse projects ranging from new builds to restoration work. Duties Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute masonry projects. Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other materials with precision using hand tools and power tools. Install rebar reinforcement and perform concrete forming and finishing to ensure structural integrity. Execute mortar work, plastering, stucco application, and caulking for seamless finishes. Build masonry scaffolds safely and efficiently to access elevated work areas while adhering to all safety protocols. Operate heavy equipment as needed for material handling or site preparation during renovation or new construction projects. Collaborate with team members on building material installation, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with construction plans. Skills Extensive experience in concrete masonry, stone masonry, bricklaying, and related construction disciplines. Proficiency in construction estimating and interpreting blueprint specifications accurately. Strong knowledge of building materials such as mortar mixes, concrete, stucco, tile, metal studs, and related components. Skilled in the use of hand tools (trowels, chisels), power tools (drills, saws), and heavy equipment operation for site setup and material transport. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings to guide project execution effectively. Familiarity with safety protocols including scaffold building, fall protection measures, and hazard mitigation on construction sites. Experience with renovation projects involving restoration techniques or historic masonry preservation is a plus.
