Dave's Chimney Service is looking for an experienced Chimney Lead Technician / Foreman / Mason to lead jobs, manage a crew, and complete high-quality chimney repairs and installations throughout Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. This is a hands-on leadership position . You'll be responsible for running jobs from start to finish, working alongside your crew, maintaining our quality standards, and making sure projects are completed safely and efficiently. Experienced chimney professionals may qualify for an experience bonus of up to $5,000 based on experience and qualifications. What You'll DoChimney & Masonry Work Perform chimney repairs, rebuilds, and restorations Complete masonry work including tuckpointing, repointing, and brick replacement Repair and rebuild chimney crowns Install chimney liners Install chimney caps and chase covers Install dampers and wood stoves Complete flashing and water-protection work Diagnose chimney and venting problems Set up and work safely from ladders, roofs, and scaffolding Lead the Crew Lead chimney repair and installation projects from start to finish Supervise and work alongside crew members Train apprentices and less-experienced technicians Assign responsibilities and keep the crew productive Keep projects on schedule Maintain high workmanship and safety standards Troubleshoot problems that arise in the field Take ownership of the completed job Job Management Review job scope before beginning work Document work with photos and job notes Complete required paperwork and invoices Communicate professionally with homeowners Collect payments when required Maintain organized and clean job sites Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can work with their hands and lead people at the same time. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craftsmanship, understands how to keep a crew moving, can solve problems independently, and wants their compensation to reflect their performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of chimney, masonry, construction, or related trade experience Strong masonry skills Chimney repair or installation experience strongly preferred Previous foreman, lead technician, or crew leadership experience preferred Understanding of NFPA codes and proper clearances Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding Strong problem-solving skills Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners and coworkers Comfortable using an iPad and other technology Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable transportation Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Willing to work occasional Saturdays Compensation & Growth You'll start with hourly compensation based on your experience and skill level while learning Dave's Chimney Service systems, standards, and processes. Qualified technicians can transition into our production/commission-based compensation structure , allowing your earnings to grow with your productivity and performance. Top-performing Lead Technicians have the potential to earn $150,000+ per year.
