Job Summary Join our team as a Chimney Mason Assistant / Chimney Sweep and become an essential part of delivering high-quality chimney and masonry services. In this role, you will support experienced masons and chimney sweeps in performing inspections, cleaning, repairs, and restoration of chimneys, fireplaces, and related masonry structures. Responsibilities Assist skilled chimney masons and sweeps with the installation, cleaning, repair, and restoration of chimneys, fireplaces, and masonry structures. Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment in accordance with safety protocols. Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as bricklaying, stone masonry, mortar work, and concrete finishing. Support the building of masonry scaffolding and handle heavy equipment operation when necessary. Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of debris following safety standards. Follow all safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Qualifications Prior construction site experience or familiarity with masonry or restoration projects is highly preferred. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites including scaffold building and heavy machinery operation. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques in masonry and restoration work.
