Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Journeyman Bricklayer, where you'll bring craftsmanship and precision to a variety of building projects. Duties Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute masonry and bricklaying tasks. Construct, repair, and restore brick, stone, concrete block, and other masonry units across commercial, residential, and public projects. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently to complete masonry work. Install building materials such as drywall, plastering compounds, caulking, flooring, tile laying, window installation, cabinet installation, and electrical components as needed. Perform hardscaping construction projects including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures with precision. Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and construction management teams to ensure seamless project execution. Adhere strictly to safety protocols on-site while inspecting work for quality control and compliance with building codes. Assist in remodeling projects by interpreting technical drawings for interior finishes such as trim carpentry or drywall installation. Operate heavy equipment when required for concrete forming or site preparation tasks. Maintain detailed records of work performed using construction management software like Bluebeam or similar tools. Experience Proven experience as a Journeyman Bricklayer or in masonry-related roles within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of building construction techniques including hardscape installation, concrete forming, plastering, drywall finishing, and tile laying. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and construction plans accurately. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication machinery. Knowledge of safety protocols specific to construction sites to ensure a safe working environment at all times. Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions on diverse construction sites. Additional skills in plumbing, electrical work or remodeling are advantageous but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is valued highly.
