In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, concrete blocks and other masonry materials. Your expertise will contribute to building durable, aesthetically pleasing structures that meet project specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from new construction to restoration and renovation efforts. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate masonry work aligned with project specifications. Lay bricks, concrete blocks and other masonry units with precision using hand tools and power tools. Mix mortar and concrete accurately, applying mortar work experience to ensure strong bonds and durable finishes. Execute various masonry techniques and heavy equipment operation as needed. Build masonry scaffolding safely around work areas to facilitate high-quality craftsmanship at elevated heights. Follow strict safety protocols on-site to maintain a secure working environment for all team members. Qualifications Proven experience in concrete masonry, bricklaying, or related construction fields. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and building material installation. Familiarity with construction site safety standards and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise execution of projects. Experience with renovation projects, restoration work, or working within existing structures is highly desirable. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques such as metal stud framing or roofing.
